Family story
This house was born from a family dream and the work of many hands.
Between family, friends and local crafts, every stone, every choice, every garden and every detail was imagined to welcome with authenticity.
There was local craft and family care: gardens, decoration, electricity, plumbing and the small choices that make a house feel lived in before welcoming its first guests.
The name Estayos
Estayos begins with a word from our landscape: esteios.
In the Douro, esteios are the vertical posts that hold the vines, draw the terraces and belong to the visual memory of the valley. By joining that root with the word stay, Estayos became an invitation to remain in the Douro, among stone, vines, light and silence.
